During April 25th-27th, 2013, CMEC Chairman Sun Bai and President Zhang Chun visited Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, Deputy Prime Minister Serhiy Arbuzov, Minister of Finance Yuriy Kolobov, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Eduard Stavytskyi, and Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Mykola Prysiazhniuk, as well as other high-level government officials of the country. The two parties held a series of meetings, expressed strong wish to strengthen cooperation in fields such as energy, environment protection, agriculture, and infrastructure, and signed cooperation documents for relevant projects.
On April 26th, CMEC Chairman Sun Bai, President Zhang Chun and their party visited Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov in Kiev. Zhang briefed the Prime Minister on the progress of CMEC projects in Ukraine. The Prime Minister thanked Sun for his contribution to the economic and trade cooperation between China and Ukraine and expressed his wish for the two parties to strengthen their cooperation. Also present at the meeting were Zhang Xiyun, Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine; and Luo Weidong, Counselor from the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked Sun for his contribution to the economic and trade cooperation between China and Ukraine and expressed strong wish to strengthen the cooperation between the two parties in energy, environment protection, agriculture, infrastructure and other fields. On the morning of April 26th, CMEC Chairman Sun Bai, President Zhang Chun and their party met Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Eduard Stavytskyi in the Ministry. After the meeting, the two parties signed cooperation documents for a package of energy and power engineering projects. Zhang Xiyun, Chinese Ambassador to Ukraine; and Luo Weidong, Counselor from the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office attended the meeting and witnessed the signing of the documents.
