CMEC President Zhang Chun met with Belarusian Minister of Energy Mr. Potupchik Vladimir Nikolaevich in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, and the two had amicable talks. President Zhang congratulated Mr. Potupchik for his new appointment as Minister of Energy, and then briefed the Minister on the progress of CMEC’s 400MW power plant projects in Belezov and Lukoml of the Republic of Belarus. He showed strong confidence in putting the two power plants into operation as scheduled next January and extended appreciation to the Minister for his support for the two projects. The Minister was satisfied with the progress of the two projects, thanked the Chinese side for their contribution to the energy sector of Belarus, and expressed his hope to establish long-term cooperation with CMEC in the energy sector, especially hydropower projects.
