Shanghai Steam Turbine Plant of Shanghai Electric Power Generation Equipment Co., Ltd. has recently succeeded in the trial localized manufacturing of an HCO bearing body for F-class gas turbines. An HCO bearing body has a complicated shape and requires a sophisticated and high precision level processing. It is the last and crucial item to make a complete list of components for localized production of an F-class gas turbine, which is the world’s most advanced equipment for power generation. As a result, the localization rate of an F-class gas turbine can be as high as 100% in mainland China. The Shanghai Steam Turbine Plant of Shanghai Electric has spent eight months to overcome technology bottlenecks and other difficulties before achieving the success.
