Ben Wang hearing on November 11, Dongfang Electric Corporation Limited and the Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Institute in Chengdu held «CAP1400 steam generator subject of joint research agreement» signing ceremony. Vice President of Dongfang Electric AG peak and vice president of Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Gu Guoxing representing the two sides signed the agreement. This agreement marks Dongfang Electric assume full responsibility for AP1000 nuclear power in the main equipment of the manufacturing tasks, based on the scaled full participation in nuclear power technology with independent intellectual property rights — CAP1400 R & D stage, maintained at the leading nuclear power equipment manufacturing position.
Signing ceremony, the company party members, just stock company president Wen-shu and the Shanghai Nuclear Engineering Research and Design Gu Guoxing, vice president delivered a speech respectively. The two sides expressed the hope that through the joint signing of the agreement, to further deepen cooperation, mutual benefit, to jointly promote the large-scale advanced pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant implementation of major projects.
CAP1400 is a large-scale advanced pressurized water reactor, «Long-term Science and Technology Development Plan» identified 16 major science and technology is one of China building an innovative country one of the landmark project is the third-generation nuclear power technology in the digestion and absorption, based on the AP1000 through the formation of another new nuclear power with independent intellectual property brand.
