On Feb. 14, 2017, a grand ceremony was held in Dongfang Electric (Guangzhou) Heavy Machinery Co., LTD for the delivery of Chinese first nuclear power low pressure heater that exported to Europe.
Low pressure heater is one of the conventional island components in nuclear power station, which is used to improve the running efficiency of the equipment. The low pressure heater, whose total length is 13.85 meters, is suitable for 900 MW unit. The low pressure heater provided for the Electricité de France(EDF) is mainly used for the CP1 series equipment replacement. It is the first exported low pressure heater fully designed and manufactured by Chinese manufacturer. This project is the first purchase order to Chinese manufacturer after EDF’s implementation of global sourcing strategy, which also symbolizes an important improvement of Chinese nuclear power equipment in the European market.
At the ceremony, Mr. Zhang Xiaolun, the General Manager of Dongfang Electric Corporation (DEC), and Mr. Fu Kaide, the vice president of EDF, cut the ribbon for the product together.
Mr. Zhang Xiaolun, reviewed the cooperation between Dongfang Electric Corporation (DEC) and EDF for the past 20 years. He also expressed that DEC is capable of providing safe, reliable, advanced nuclear power products for global market.
Mr. Fu Kaide, awarded the Qualified Supplier Certificate to DEC. He pointed out in his speech that it’s the start of the partnership between DEC and EDF, and also a solid foundation for the further cooperation.
