Ghislain Lescuyer (aged 52) is appointed Senior Vice-President, Group Strategy and Development. He will report to Patrick Kron, Chairman and CEO of Alstom. Ghislain Lescuyer was formerly Executive Vice-President, Products business unit at Areva T&D. He takes up this role with immediate effect.

Ghislain Lescuyer graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications in Paris and holds an MBA from INSEAD (1988). From 1982-93, he held commercial positions at Société Anonyme des Télécommunications and Hewlett Packard. He then became a consultant at McKinsey & Company (1989-93). He joined Bull in 1994 as Sourcing and Logistics Director then successively held the roles of President of the Manufacturing Division, President of the Smartcards & Terminals Division, ending up as President of Bull Services. From 2002-03, he manages the internet investment fund of the Groupe Arnault (Europatweb). He then joined Thomson where he became Deputy Managing Director and President of the Systems and Equipment Division, followed by Vice-President Group Strategy and Marketing. Since 2007, he was Executive Vice-President of Areva T&D’s Products business unit.
