— GE Energy signed a technology licensing agreement with Nanjing Turbine & Electric Machinery Group (NTC). Under the agreement, NTC will use GE’s technology for steam turbine designs for industrial applications in China and Southeast Asia.

The agreement covers boiler feed pump and mechanical drive steam turbines for industrial applications, which will be built and sold by NTC throughout the region.

GE Energy has provided China with nearly 340 steam and gas turbines. NTC has an annual production capacity of 10 GW. The company’s main products include steam turbines for co-generation, air-cooled generators and gas turbines.
