On March 12th, President Zhang Chun visited Belarus Electric Power Design Institute and discussed the conversion of the working drawing with the President of the Institute. The discussion was held in a friendly atmosphere. The two parties had in-depth exchanges on existing problems in the current cooperation and achieved constructive results.
On March 13th, President Zhang Chun visited the Berezov project site. He inspected the site carefully, heard the report of the project department, and gave some specific opinions and directions for the implementation of the project. Subsequently, he met with the General Manager of Brestenergo, owner of the project. The two parties reached consensus regarding how to promote the progress of the project and other matters.
On March 14th, President Zhang Chun hosted a banquet for Gong Jianwei, Chinese Ambassador to Belarus, and Liu Xuesong, the Commercial Counselor. The Ambassador had paid four visits to the project site. He gave positive comments on the project and spoke highly of the project team for its sound performance concerning production safety, public policy, and social responsibility.
On March 15th, a once-in-50-year snow storm hit Belarus. Despite the bitter cold weather, President Zhang Chun traveled three hours to the Lukoml project site and greeted all on-site workers. President Zhang Chun inspected the project site together with the General Manager of Vitebskenergo, the project owner, and heard the report of the project department. The subsequent meeting of the two sides was harmonious and productive, laying a solid foundation for further progress of the project.
