Change in the Sulzer Executive Committee

Jürgen Brandt has been appointed as new Chief Financial Officer of Sulzer as of November 1, 2010. Jürgen Brandt, 54, German, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economical Engineering and has worked in various finance roles in companies with global activities. He brings comprehensive experience in corporate finance and controlling to the new position. His experience includes highly international industrial project execution in companies active in the power segment and other sectors relevant to Sulzer.

Jürgen Brandt has been appointed as new Chief Financial Officer of Sulzer as of November 1, 2010. Jürgen Brandt, 54, German, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economical Engineering and has worked in various finance roles in companies with global activities. He brings comprehensive experience in corporate finance and controlling to the new position. His experience includes highly international industrial project execution in companies active in the power segment and other sectors relevant to Sulzer.

Jürgen Brandt is currently CFO and Member of the Management Board of the Austrian Energy & Environment Group, an international plant engineering and construction company, supplying high-quality power generation and environmental technologies. In 2009, Austrian Energy &Environment Group generated sales of over EUR 1.8 billion with around 5000 employees. Jürgen Brandt’s previous positions include CFO of Von Roll Inova, CFO of Sylvania Lighting, Managing Director Industrial Power Plant Group Europe at Alstom Power and Senior Vice President Finance, Power and Environment at Alstom Power.

The Sulzer Board of Directors and the Executive Committee welcome Jürgen Brandt and wish him every success and satisfaction in his new role. CEO Ton Büchner is in charge of the key responsibilities of the CFO assignment until the official assumption of office by Jürgen Brandt at the beginning of November.
